Music: I Wanna Grow Old With You

[Billy Idol (Speaking):]
Good afternoon everyone. We're flying at 26, 000 feet, moving.
Up to thirty thousand feet, and then we've got clear skies.
All the way to Las Vegas, and right now we're bringing you some in-flight Entertainment.
One of our first-class passengers would like to sing you a song. Inspired by one of our coach passengers, and since we let our first-class passengers do pretty much whatever they want, here he is.

[Robbie Hart (Singing):]

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you

I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold

Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you

January 2011 - What Have You Done?

Another three days January going to end. We heard it many times, 'How time flies'. Yes, it sure does. There were lots of things happened, until to the extend I cried.. in my heart too. Cried because of pain and how I felt weak inside of me.

My kiddo started his standard one. A new experience for him and to both of us. The early morning wake up, making breakfast, drove here and there, sending and picking him on time. And Mr. Fruitheart, had his new position that makes him busier than before. Not enough attention?  Somehow I am used to it already.

And, me.. I had miscarriage. Had to undergo surgery and one month MC until February. I posted an entry about it, few weeks back. Now I am getting better, and had been working from home for a week. Yeah, my work just won't let me rest. It missed me a lot.

Not forgetting, my mother who has been sick and admitted to hospital too for few days. She had trouble breathing, and she is going for a surgery sometime in March. Hope everything goe…

Our Panic Attack

Last Saturday it was school day for my kiddo. Replacement leave for CNY 3rd-4th Feb and Federal Territory Day 1st Feb. As usual, early morning we sent him to SRA, and then we both had breakfast date at Oldtown. Such a long time we had not dating. After breakfast we went to market and bought some groceries.

Made soup for my mother. She was admitted to the Serdang Hospital since Thursday. She had problem breathing. So after we had our lunch, we went to visit her.

We left the hospital around 5.30pm. Lucky there was no traffic congestion and we reached the school at 6.15pm. I waited inside the car. Mr. Fruitheart went to look for our son. He came back with a worried face. He told me the guard had informed him, school ends 6pm. And, my kiddo was no where to be seen.

Me and Mr. Fruitheart run here and there looking for him. Gosh, where could he be? If he went home, who picked him up? OMG! I lost my son. Despite the pain I had, I walked fast and kept on holding my t…

Few Simple Ways To Make Your Wife Happy

"If your wife's not happy, then NOBODY's happy."

There are some truth in it, agree? Hehe.. Yes I do. Marriage is definitely challenging. It takes a lot of effort, compromise, patience and considering each other's feeling.
Always tell your wife that you love them.Give your wife presents, not necessarily the expensive one.Once in awhile, help your wife to take care of the kids and let her rest.Cook her favourite dishes, if you're good in cooking.Help your wife to do house chores.Always hug and kiss your wife. When your wife is angry, let her cool down.Don't ever forget the special dates in your life.If your wife ask for your opinion, answer honestly.Once in a while, give your wife light massage on the shoulder especially after she is tired doing house chores.Do the things that your wife likes and leave the things that she doesn't likes. No matter how busy you are, always spare some time with your wife.
When you're happy and healthy, everyone in your fami…

After Surgery.. Things Changed

It has been one week. I feel much better, less pain. Still can't walk faster or frequently climb up and down the stairs, pain on and off if I sit for a long time or lay down doing nothing too.

Yesterday I went for check up and the doc removed the bandage. The cut was about 2 inch. He scanned my tummy and everything is clear, I am OK. Both of us really glad to hear that. He advised us if we wanted to have a baby again, we need to wait after two or three months. He also said, it could happen again and there's nothing we can do to prevent. It's just that we're unlucky. Well, that do scares me though. I hope after three months, I am able to conceive and it goes smoothly. InsyAllah.

Since I can't do much, Mr. Fruitheart had took over my task. He's the father and mother for my kiddo. He makes breakfast, wake him up, makes sure his clothes are all ironed, school bag, books..OK almost everything. He is really helpful although he has TOO MANY work in the office. Thank yo…

Miscarriage.. It's Not The Time Yet To Have A Baby - Part II

The doc confirmed that I am pregnant. He asked us if we know about it. Seriously doc, NO we don't know. I did not have any sign of pregnancy. No nausea, dizzy, morning sickness nothing. He told us to wait for the gynae doc to check, because of the bleeding it could be something else. We both were shocked and this is so unexpected. I was wondering if my period was actually bleeding?

I was given pain killer to lessen the pain. Boy that was really helpful, if not I had to hold and kept on squeezing my right tummy. After a while waiting, came the gynae doc. He asked few questions, and said he wanted to do some scanning. We were anxious and nervous. Positive, I am seven weeks pregnant. OMG!

Unfortunately, it was ectopic pregnancy. Also, the doc told us he couldn't find the baby's heart beat and it looks like the embryo is not healthy. The period that I thought, I was bleeding actually. I was given another injection to, and I think it was my fifth. I was admitted to the hospital t…

Miscarriage.. It's Not The Time Yet To Have A Baby - Part I

I had period again after a week. It only stopped for two days. I thought it could be for few days. Don't feel any abdomen pain or anything. Since last two months my period flow was not on schedule and late for two weeks which I thought I was pregnant. So I assume it might be the balance of it. Wrong!

After the fifth day there's no sign of it getting lesser. We went to the clinic for check up. The lady Doc told me there's nothing wrong with me, and she did scanned my tummy. She gave me medicine to stopped the flow. I told her I was concerned because this was the first time it happened. Previously it was normal. She said I am still young and there should nothing to worry about if I am trying to conceive again. Maybe I think too much. Yeah, maybe.

Well after taking the medicine for about four days, it doesn't stopped the period flow. I felt pain near my abdomen and told Mr. Fruitheart if the pain doesn't go away, I want to check up again.

On Wednesday, since at work t…

Story Of A Seven Year Old - Part I

Yesterday, when after we reached home and freshed ourselves our small man as usual were in the room and started to opened up his stories. He is sure one talkative young man! Like his mother.. hehe. Since he started schooling, he have stories to tell us.. everyday.

Syahmie: Mama, daddy.. tadi ade kawan kite suruh kite cakap english.
Daddy: Die suruh Syahmie cakap ape?
Syahmie: Die cakap, eh.. cube cakap English. Pastu saye cakap, 'Wow, nice car'. (with his American accent)
Mama and Daddy: Muahahahaha..
Mama: Lepas cakap tu budak tu cakap ape?
Syahmie: Die cakap.. wahhh.. lari-lari, die kate dekat kawan die. Pastu die pegi la dengan kawan die.

Both of us looked at each other and smile. Sometimes, there are words that we didn't expect him to say. Like for today, during breakfast.. he said SUCK.

I was like, whoa.. where could he had heard that, I wonder. Yeah, TV. Too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, high School Musical.

Taekwondo Lesson

Last Saturday, my small man had his first taekwondo lesson. Yeah, we enrolled him as early as week one once he had started schooling. Excited parents huh? Hehe.. just to make him busy and filled in his boring schedule, that's all. Haha.. controlling mother I am.

Registration RM60, since his parents did not bring enough money, we had to buy his taekwondo uniform next week. RM80! Quite expensive. Lucky, he was OK when we told him he could wear the shirt and pants he was wearing and promised we will buy next week. Usually, he don't want to wait. He's being good and tolerant.. Good boy!

I thought of sending him to learn taekwondo because I wanted to discipline him more and to cry less. I don't want my son be called a cry baby. I know he is very sensitive, and easily cried. For now I think that is one of the way to do it. Hope it worked.

His lesson starts from 5.30pm to 6.30pm every Saturday at his school. So, we had to reschedule our outing and going back to Salak Tinggi.…

On 1.11.11 at 11.11

What's special about today? It's not my birthday, or our anniversary. Not also any special celebration. A friend of mine told me to look at the date today.. it's 1.11.11. I said yeah, nice number. Nothing extraordinary, or special. She said, oh come on girl.. do something special la then. Like what?? Suddenly, go to KLCC and buy new gadget for Mr. Fruitheart? Yeah, like that's gonna happen.

Plus, she said look at the date and time.. 1.11.11 @ 11.11 am. Huh! She's too obsessed with numbers. Haha.. that's what I told her.

I guess if it's weekend, there will be lots of couple getting married, or engaged. So, I guess there will be nothing special on this date and time for me.

Oh and one thing that I know, Britney Spears has launched her new song.. 'Hold It Againts Me' and was playing that song as they were mentioning she will perform during Grammy's. Maybe that's special about it? Maybe.

By Himself

Today I started to work after 1 week off. Seriously, I am so lazy and honestly I don't want to work anymore. Yeah all of my families and my friends knows it already. But I am still working and complaining and yeah blogging about it. Sorry, my new year resolution does not include working hard.

Today also, my son will be spending his recess during both morning and afternoon school either by himself or with his new friends. I know he will be OK. All I hope, he will take care of himself and behave.

Last week we had bought him KFC as promised because he didn't cry on Friday at all. Bravo! Bravo! He is OK by himself actually, only when his mother is around he acted a little bit spoil. Hehe.. Mummy's boy that is so correct.

Unity, Peace & Tolerance= Friendship

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6, 2011): A simple 90-second video about unity, peace and tolerance in Malaysian society in the unlikeliest of places – a packed elevator – has emerged as one of the winners of an international film competition.

Ryan Tan Chuan Min, 25, had read about the Plural+ Video festival in newspapers last September, and thought he would give it a try. "I have always been interested in national issues. This was an opportunity to do something for my country," he said.

His video, titled Unity, Peace & Tolerance = Friendship, depicted groups of youths, some wearing T-shirts with the words "Malay, India, Cina and 1Malaysia" and others in traditional costume, in an elevator that was overloaded. Instead of forcing someone to leave the lift, they worked together to solve the problem. The message: unity in diversity.

Congratulations to the winner! It is sure one good short video about Malaysia, our Malaysian people and culture. Even though, we hardly find this kind…

Food Review: Marciano, The Day Before The 2010 Ends

On the last day of 2010, which is a Public Holiday in Malaysia, Malaysia won the AFF Suzuki Cup! Yay!! ('dah basi dah').. we had family dinner at Marciano, Jalan Ampang. Bored of 'tomyam' and seafood. It's time for western food.

We don't have any plans at all, what to do or where to go. Because we know, there will be lots of concert going on, and for sure some road will be on massive traffic congestion.

This is what we've ordered.. Yummy! 3 out of 5.

Sorry, I couldn't remember the names. Busy eating and enjoying our food. We totally had fun on our family dinner.

After dinner, we went to Starbucks. Had some ice blended mocha frappucino. Owh cool! Me and Mr. Fruitheart had our movie marathon: Little Fockers and Life As We Know It; until 2.30am with Mr. Fruitheart. A good night to end 2010 and welcoming 2011, with my family.

Music: Skid Row - I Remember You

Down memory lane.. Old songs in my playlist.

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through

I paint a picture of the days gone by
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew you were there for me
Time after time you were there for me

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letter's innocence - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We spend the summer with the top rolled down
Wished ever after would be like this
You said I love you babe, without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss

Remember yesterday - walking hand in hand
Love letter's innocence - I remember you
Through the sleepless nights and every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say - I remember you

We've had our sha…

My First Day Back to School After 13 Years

Monday, January 3rd 2011.. Has been marked as the first day I went back to school after 13 years. Can you believe that? No?? It's true, OK. Well, it's actually my small man's first day went to school. The big boys and girls school. No more kindergarten. So it is true I also went to school to sent, picked him up and waited for him at the canteen. Difference is, I did not wear white and blue uniform.

I was nervous! And, I did cried. Shame on me. Because my small man cried too when we left him during his morning school session at SRA. I didn't expect him to cry though. But, I do understand. There were other kids who worse than my son.

First day started, he don't have the problem to get up early morning. Phew! Woke him up at 6am, but he's a bit grumpy and cranky when I talked a lot early morning, asking him to do this and that. Well, I am a woman and a mother. So I wanted it to be smooth and err.. perfect.

After breakfast, left the house at 7am. We don't want t…

Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to. - By Bill Vaughn

Drop the last year into the silent limbo of the past. Let it go, for it was imperfect, and thank God that it can go. -Brooks Atkinson

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. -Edith Lovejoy Pierce
